Frequently asked questions

A short guide to how sidebalance works.

What is sidebalance?

sidebalance compares the body landmarks in a photo and shows the difference between your left and right side. Over several scans you see how that difference changes, like a scale you step on from time to time.

Is sidebalance a medical product?

No. sidebalance is a training and fitness tool for athletes. It does not provide diagnoses or treatment and does not replace medical or therapeutic advice. If you have health concerns, please speak to a doctor.

How does a BodyCheck work?

You upload or take a photo. The image is automatically analysed for body landmarks. You then see the result with the difference between your sides. With the training and a second scan you can compare what has changed.

Which photo do I need?

A photo that shows your whole body clearly: stand upright, good light, arms and legs not covered. Close-fitting clothing helps to recognise the landmarks.

What happens to my images and data?

You decide which images you upload and confirm the privacy policy beforehand. Only use images that you consent to having processed. All details are in the privacy policy.

What is the difference between Onetime, Basic and Premium?

Onetime is the starter package: scan, train with videos and scan again later. Basic is for everyone who wants to scan regularly and follow their progress. Premium adds video analysis of your movements, such as kicks, forms or dance steps. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Why are there 21 days between two scans?

Your body needs time to respond to training. After 21 days a comparison says more than after a few days. The interval is set in the plan.

Which sports is sidebalance suited for?

For everyone whose sport loads one side of the body more, for example football, handball, basketball, tennis, karate, taekwondo or bodybuilding.
